Sugar Plum Christmas Punch Recipe

Add a little Land of Sweets magic to your holiday celebration with this Sugar Plum Christmas Punch! This festive drink is sweet, fruity, and full of Christmas cheer—plus, its beautiful color makes it just as pretty to serve as it is delicious to drink. Whether you’re planning a Nutcracker-themed party or simply looking for a fun Christmas punch, this easy recipe is sure to be a festive favorite!

Sugar Plum Christmas Punch Ingredients

How to make this interactive punch:

Sugar Plum Syrup:

Here is a recipe similar to what I used to create the syrup. It was super easy. If you would like to skip the syrup making here is a premade sugar plum cocktail mixer you can use. I added Edible glitter so that when the syrup was poured into the glass along with the sparkling beverage of choice, it swirled beautifly.

Sugar Plum Christmas Punch Syrup in fillable ornaments

After the syrup had cooled I used a funnel to insert the syrup into these fillable ornaments from Target. If they don't have them again this year, here is a great alternative.

Sugar Rim:

Pour syrup on a plate. Turn the cup upside down so that the rim can be dipped in the syrup. Don't dip too much or it will start to drip down the side of the cup. Now dip the rim in the rimming sugar and you've got a beautiful purple rimmed glass!

Sugared cranberries for punch

For the "sugar plums" I made sugar coated cranberries and placed them on these snowflake skewers from Amazon. Here is the recipe I used for the cranberries.

How guest make the punch:

  1. Take the rimmed glass and add some ice

  2. Pour desired sparkling beverage into cup (fill half way). Sparkling lemonade, ginger ale or prosecco are all perfect for this.

  3. Now take the ornament filled with syrup, shake it up so the glitter is swirling and then pour the syrup into the glass.

  4. Garnish with sugar plum skewer and enjoy!
