Summer is the perfect time to splash into something colorful and sweet—like a fruit-themed pool party! Think tropical vibes, juicy decor, and refreshing treats that turn your backyard into a fruity paradise. From citrus floaties, lemonade bar and poolside fruit themed cookies, this playful theme brings sunshine, smiles, and a burst of flavor to every detail. Whether you’re planning a birthday bash or just a sunny weekend hangout, a fruit-inspired pool party is a fun, vibrant way to keep cool and celebrate the season!
Decorations:
Let's start with the treat table of course!

The backdrop was made from red four leaf clover paper garland, green rolled craft paper, twine and cream colored cardstock. Then for the banner I bought a blank burlap banner and then used my cricut to cut our iron on letters.
Here is a video on how to create your own backdrop.

I always have my chalkboard decorated to welcome my guests. I didn't get a pic of the back but it was of a stencil I found at Dollar tree that said, "Stay Sweet" with some strawberries. It was so cute!
Floaties & More:
I like to add useable items for more decorations such as towels, pillows, toys and floaties! The towels are from Five Below. All the floats were from Target but from summer 2024 but I found these great substitutions:
Food & Drinks:

Watermelon is the perfect summer fruit, I made this bucket from a pink plastic tub from Michaels. Then cut out removable vinyl "seeds" and "rind" with my cricut.
Of course we have to provide sweets for the sweet summer! For every pool party I order custom themed cookies from a local baker. I also made super easy fruit themed rice krispie treats with fruit sprinkles. You can watch the video here on how I made them!

Remember the sugar filled plastic fruit candy we had in the 80's, well I had to bring that back for this party. I filled plastic fruit containers from Dollar Tree with them and placed them in stacked wooden crates to create the look of a fruit stand. This was probably my favorite part of the treat table! I also added fruit snacks, fruit rollups and fruit flavored yogurt covered pretzels.

The lemonade bar was a hit! For this I used Strawberry and regular lemonade. Then had flavored syrups and fruit the guests could add the create their own yummy drink! I placed the fruit in this chilled caddy so they stayed fresh, it worked well. You can download my Lemonade Bar sign by clicking the photo below.
Outfits or accessories:
Usually I like to wear a swimsuit the goes with the theme, sometimes I can even get my husband to wear one, LOL. This year I just opted for fruit earrings and a scrunchy from Marshalls. Bella wore a fruit bandana and she was the cutest!
